प्रीति फन्ट हो, इन्कोडिङ होइन

प्रीतिमा ठाउँ नभएका अक्षर
केही देवनागरी अक्षरका लागि प्रीतिमा कुनै कुञ्जी छैन। त्यस्ता अक्षर चुपचाप बदलिँदैनन् — जस्ताको तस्तै राखिन्छन् र तलको जाँच पट्टीमा नाम देखाइन्छ, त्यसैले तपाईं आफैँ मिलाउन सक्नुहुन्छ।

Nepali Unicode and Preeti, in English
A free converter between Nepali Unicode (Devanagari) and the Preeti legacy font, both ways: Unicode to Preeti for a document whose house style is still Preeti, and Preeti to Unicode to bring an old file into text you can search and reuse. Nothing is uploaded. The conversion is a plain string pass running in your own browser, with no server, no account and nothing stored.
Preeti is a font, not an encoding. Each byte is a Roman character that the font draws as a Devanagari shape, and its keyboard layout descends from the Nepali mechanical typewriter. Converting properly is therefore orthographic work rather than a character-for-character swap: the i-kar in कि moves ahead of its consonant, the reph (र्) lands after the cluster it modifies, and half letters, conjuncts and र-ligatures resolve into their own Preeti slots. Tools built on a naive character map corrupt ordinary words silently.
Unicode-to-Preeti output is checked against 165 real Nepali words and sentences. Where Preeti has no slot at all, among them ऋ, ऐ, ॐ, the visarga and the nukta letters, the character is left untouched and named in the strip beneath the converter, so a wrong conversion is visible instead of assumed. You can also type romanised Nepali, where nepaal gives नेपाल, and convert straight into either script.
